On May 7, 2009 American Insurance Group reported a net loss of $4.35 Billion.  The loss was less than the forecasted $5 Billion and a serious amount lower than the $60 Billion they wrote off in the fourth quarter of 2008.  American Insurance Group said the loss was a result of restructuring and accounting charges related to taxes.  They must have some high paid tax people working for them.  At least they did not buy a $60,000 toilet like the former leader of Bank of America.
