Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Small business should never over look commercial auto insurance as it is one of the most important aspects of the business.  If your business uses a vehicle or even a fleet of vehicles you should contact your insurance specialist or go to our home page and request a commercial insurance quote.  Make sure to give your insurance specialist the full story of who is driving vehicles.  It is wise to always carry uninsured motorist protection even if you have a policy for workers to not let anybody drive or ride in the vehicle.  Accidents happen and you need to be protected.

How many vehicles should you insure for your business?

Commercial auto insurance companies often separate coverages based on type and number of vehicles in your fleet.  It is wise to insure every vehicle as you never know when you will need the protection and you are likely going to get a discount for fleet insurance.

Commercial Auto Insurance

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

There are several types of commercial auto insurance including Liability, Collision, Uninsured, Personal Insurance Protection, and Gap Insurance.

The most common type of commercial auto Insurance is Liability Coverage.  Most states in the US require liability auto insurance.  Liability covers you personally when you are liable for destroying someones car or body parts.

Collison is another form of commercial auto insurance.  Collison insurance will cover the damage that is done to the policy holders car pending that the policy holder is at fault.  If another party wrecks your car their liability pays for repairs.

Uninsured and under-insured coverage is required by most states and will cover you if the other party is liable and they do not have coverage.  Seventeen percent of drivers on the road typically are under-insured.

Personal Injury Protection covers medical bills and lost wages regardless of the party at fault.  This is a great benefit to offer your employees when they do a lot of driving.

Gap Insurance will cover the difference of what the car is worth and what you owe as the lessee.  Gap Commercial Auto Insurance is very important for companies who provide leased autos for their employees to drive.  What kind of damages would you incur if an employee totaled a car, van or truck in your fleet?

Commercial auto insurance is a must for any business that uses a vehicle for the owner and especially their employees.  Do you want to put your business at risk if you or one of your employees has an accident and hurts somebody?  Get a quote today by clicking on commercial auto insurance

Swine Flu Insurance

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

There are not many options for managers and businesses that need swine flu insurance.  Pandemic RX Insurance offered by AIG is one of few protections businesses need during an epidemic of this nature.  Other than SARS there have not been many recent scares that would encourage managers and owners to take out this type of policy.  Businesses should take this warning and review their continuity management arrangements.  Make sure that your plans are up to date and train your staff for events like this.  The best thing your people can do is practice better personal hygiene.  You should run drills for working remotely should a disaster hit your company.

A pandemic producing large amounts of absent workers would typically not be covered under business interuption insurance because it usually only covers property loss.  Workers Compensation may come into play but to be perfectly protected I would research Pandemic RX Insurance offered by AIG and other insurance companies.

The CDC says that there are 40 total cases of swine flu in the US and there have been 150 deaths in Mexico.  Many of these have been found in New York and are related to some students who traveled to Mexico.  Fortunately the airlines have stepped up for the average consumer who has a trip booked to Mexico.

Issues come up every day that are as of now more catastrophic than swine flu.  Hopefully you never need business insurance but you will be very happy that you were smart enough to utilize it should you need help.

Take out business insurance today so that you can Rock n Roll tomorrow!
